New figures reveal the shocking number of illegal immigrants arrested in the UK.
In total, from 2014, just over 27,000 illegal immigrants were arrested by the force; with a further 1,000 nicked for providing assistance.
The data comes from a freedom of information request from 28 of the 42 police forces in England – meaning the actual number is likely to be much higher.
The forces that did reply revealed that 933 have been arrested in Warwickshire, 872 in Leicestershire, 440 in Cheshire, 1,271 in West Yorkshire and 2,685 in Thames Valley.
